Christiane Taubira launched her presidential candidacy on Saturday January 15. The former Minister of Justice wants to participate in the popular Primary, a vote in which a large number of members of the left refuse to take part.
They think they have found the solution to solve the traffic jam of candidacies on the left: a popular Primary. The promoters of the idea revealed on Saturday January 15 the seven names of the candidates they wish to submit to this primary. The organizers have however chosen to dismiss from the ballot other personalities from the left, such as Arnaud Montebourg, Fabien Roussel, Nathalie Arthaud and Philippe Poutou. On the ground, the disunity continues. “Project against project“, declared Anne Hidalgo, traveling 10 kilometers from the place where Christiane Taubira declared herself a candidate. The organizers of the Primary claim 120,000 members who will vote from January 27 to 30.
