The poor don’t care about areas of expertise

If you are a young person and you are hungry, it may be that in your history class, you do not listen much when it comes to areas of jurisdiction and the sharing of powers in the constitution.

When you’re hungry, the only thing that really matters is your stomach.

In Quebec and Canada, there are still thousands of young people who go to school on empty stomachs.

Their parents can’t make ends meet with housing prices skyrocketing and groceries costing more and more!

We recently learned that we no longer even need to live below the poverty line to live in food insecurity.

So the billion dollars announced this week by Justin Trudeau is a breath of fresh air for organizations which are also struggling to respond to all the demands!

It still has to be done well and the money transferred quickly!

Voters do not want political psychodramas, as we have seen in the health transfer and housing issues.

If the amounts are directly transferred to the organizations, we can get by.

It’s expensive!

But be careful, the risk of feeding and fattening the bureaucracy is very real.

Ottawa loves creating new programs so much…

However, the provinces often already have them.

We therefore duplicate the bureaucracy, we lose money in management and we slow down the delivery of services to the public.

This is one of the big problems of interference in areas of jurisdiction.

Especially since the federal government has not accustomed us to efficiency. Defense, immigration, payroll system, borders, artificial intelligence, social media, productivity…

No one can say that Ottawa is doing a good job with its files.

That, too, is a problem.

The federal government is like the boyfriend who wants to tell his girlfriend how to do her chores at home when hers hasn’t even started.

The blonde is right to criticize his intrusions… plus when she really needs help, he does the job half-heartedly. Let’s think about the small increases in health transfers granted by the federal government.

Why is Justin Trudeau making all these announcements?

Contrary to what some people think, he is not nono.

He sees the polls like everyone else. He notes the free fall of his party. He also understands that citizens are concerned about housing and food insecurity among young people!

However, it is important to remember that all this money is borrowed. We will soon be paying $50 billion just in debt fees per year… This is money that we are literally throwing out the window.

This must concern everyone.

We are heading towards more negotiations, more bureaucratic heaviness, more delays before seeing results.

All this to save the political skin of the Prime Minister.
