The contours of the nine parliamentary groups in the National Assembly are becoming clearer on Thursday, June 23. Marine Le Pen was appointed president of the National Rally group by the 89 deputies of the party. On the left, the different faces of the Nupes are confirmed after exchanges between the different parties of the coalition. On the environmental side, a two-headed presidency has been chosen: it is composed of Julien Bayou Cyrielle Chatelain.

Another figure of the left-wing coalition, Boris Vallaud takes the head of the socialist group. “It was a job where we discovered each other, I was going to say each with the cultures that are theirs, the stories that are theirs, but with the desire to be useful to French women and men and I think that’s what lives in us”, he says. On Friday June 24, Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne will have toit talk on the phone with the group presidents to try to find a solution to this legislative impasse.
