The Ousse des Bois district was once again the scene of violence with the police on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, October 6. A little after midnight, the fire department was called for a trash fire. The police went to the scene, and were greeted by several individuals in balaclavas.
The police officers explain that they were stoned, and that the attackers also used mortar. The anti-crime brigade (BAC) intervened on the spot to restore calm, and the firefighters were able to put out the fire, which did not do much damage. There had already been violence in the neighborhood last April: the Hameau social center had been set on fire, as well as several cars, and the police had been stoned in the same way on the spot.
