2 out of 2 for the last two Poitou clubs engaged in the 7th round of the Coupe de France football this weekend. Chauvigny and Stade Poitevin, both residents of National 3, won on the move to qualify for the 8th round which will take place on November 27th and 28th.
Saturday, Chauvigny won at Ballan-Miré (Indre et Loire), 1 goal to 0 against FC Ouest Tourangeau, another National 3 club. A goal from Dylan Biaka in the 70th minute freed Stéphane Malloyer’s men,
“It’s a relatively logical victory despite everything. We came with arguments and a very strong desire to qualify”, rejoices Stéphane Malloyer, interviewed by France Bleu Touraine.
This Sunday, Stade Poitevin also did the job to beat Feytiat, a Regional 1 club, located in the suburbs of Limoges. Victory 2 goals to 0 thanks to goals from Yvan Kibundu (2 ‘) and Jordan Cuvier (17’).
In the next round, the 8th, one step away from the 32nd final and the entry into contention of Ligue 1 clubs, it is heavy which awaits the Poitevins with two beautiful duels against Le Havre, club of Ligue 2, for Chauvigny, and against Orléans, club of National.
