The podcast series out of pure revengethe first episode of which will be broadcast on Tuesday, reveals new information about Normand Dubé, “the pilot of the stars”.

This series of eight episodes, produced by Qub Radio and Le Bureau d’Enquête, goes even further than Marie-Christine Noël’s investigation and her documentary The pilot of the stars released in 2018.
Normand Dubé, who has always claimed his innocence, was then undergoing his trial classified as “national security”. He was then sentenced to seven years in prison for sabotaging the Hydro-Quebec lines that had plunged Quebec into darkness. The wrongdoings cost the state-owned company nearly $30 million.
Four years later, investigative journalist Marie-Christine Noël plunged back into this investigation after Normand Dubé was sentenced to nine years in prison for arson before disappearing into the wild in December 2020. him one of the most wanted criminals in Quebec.
The podcast series, produced by Anne-Sophie Carpentier, is structured so that any listener, regardless of their level of knowledge, can follow this saga and be captivated by it. The first two episodes present the facts alleged against the one who has been nicknamed the “pilot of the stars”, a portrait of the criminal and the extent of the procedures initiated.
From the Drummondville detention center where he is serving his sentence, Normand Dubé even recounted his escape. Since his appeal requests have been denied, the inmate has nothing to lose.

The director is amazed by all the secrets gathered now that the story is closed for justice.
“We had access to the Crown’s strategy in court to convict Normand Dubé,” she explained.
Lieutenant Martin Bouchard, who spearheaded the investigative work of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) for Mr. Dubé’s trials, shared all he could say about the evidence, despite the national security certificate, in more of his thoughts and feelings. “That’s amazing!” commented M.me Carpenter.
