Without fanfare, the Liberal Party of Quebec (PLQ) managed to complete its electoral team, a week after the start of the campaign.

Over the past two days, the party has quietly nominated candidates in the last vacant ridings of Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Côte-Nord and Gaspésie, to finally complete its team. Saturday.
These candidacies were not the subject of major announcements, contenting themselves with being added to the website of the PLQ.
A sign of the hastily conducted recruiting campaign in recent days, 13 Liberal candidates still had no photo posted on the party’s website Sunday morning.
Among the candidates announced, the Liberals are counting in particular on the candidacy of economist Louis Bellemare, a “regional development expert” who will try to seduce the voters of Rivière-du-Loup–Témiscouata.
In Gaspésie, two former municipal councilors from Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, Christian Cyr and Michel Marin, will seek the votes in Bonaventure and Gaspé respectively.
Both share an interest in the management of the territory’s resources, Mr. Cyr having been president of the Federation of Salmon River Managers of Quebec, while Mr. Marin is the general manager of the Shick Shock Cooperative Forestry Group.
The PLQ had started the campaign with more than a dozen candidates to find, which had forced leader Dominique Anglade to defend the PLQ’s recruitment campaign on several occasions.
“The last time we campaigned, we had 17 candidates left to announce. It is therefore very consistent with what we have done in the past, ”she defended herself on the first day of the campaign, last Sunday.
The next day, the PLQ announced the candidacy of Liberal strategist Julie White, eclipsed by the departures of two candidates.
