The PLQ calls on students to break the “omerta” on the brutality of teachers

The opposition calls on students to denounce “in every way possible” the brutality of the words and gestures of their teachers.

While waiting for a framework to denounce situations of abuse, the Liberal Party (PLQ) encourages students who are victims of certain teachers in class to report these cases, or even to film them.

In a press scrum on Thursday morning, Liberal MP Madwa-Nika Cadet spoke of “omerta” in the education community and asked to put an end to it by denouncing in all possible ways.

“You can’t stop young people from doing what they want, so if they want to record [leurs enseignants avec leur téléphone]we will not be able to control their actions all the time, ”argued his colleague Frédéric Beauchemin.

According to Ms. Cadet, the Minister of Education, Bernard Drainville, “has lost control of what is happening in the machine” and has a certain responsibility.
