The Périgord Vert is another valley of prehistoric man

Gosh ! There is no rock shelter in Périgord Vert, as there is in Périgord Noir. But that does not mean that prehistoric man was not present on the scene, quite the contrary. When approaching the cave of Villars, about 20,000 years ago, he felt good in this geographical situation on a height, to be able to take a look at the valley to watch the passage of the herds. The reindeer, at that time, was the king of game. In the cave itself, they came to draw, sometimes passing through very narrow passages.
