This text, initiated by the independent group Liot with the support of the left, collected 278 votes out of the 287 needed to bring down the government. The second text, on the initiative of the National Rally, collected only 94 votes, mainly those of his group. After the rejection of these two motions, the highly contested reform of Emmanuel Macron is therefore adopted. In a statement to AFP, Elisabeth Borne declared herself “determined to continue to carry out the necessary transformations”.
