The woman was hit in the head by police fire in the 18th arrondissement, while she was in a car suspected of having run into a crew of officials on mountain bikes, refusing a check for not wearing a seat belts. The police used their administrative weapon to stop the vehicle, thus injuring two people.

The Paris prosecutor’s office has opened two investigations. One for attempted homicide on a person in charge of public authority and another for violence with a weapon by persons in charge of public order. The police force, the IGPN, was seized and placed the three police officers responsible for the shootings in custody.
