Saturday July 2, the safety commission gave the green light for the resumption of the Eurockéennes, after the violent storm which occurred Thursday June 30. The first two days of the Belfort festival (Territoire de Belfort) had been canceled.

Under a big blue sky, the Eurockéennes festival, in Belfort (Territoire de Belfort), was able to start off on the right foot, Saturday July 2. Spectators were delighted to finally be able to enjoy concerts, after two days of the festival missed due to violent storms. The BBQ has could begin. “The sun and the desire are there, everyone is in a good mood, it’s going to be fine. But these last two days have been very complicated for us”says Thibaut Gamba, a food truck chef.

The big stage, damaged by bad weather, was ready to welcome the musicians. “We ourselves have been Eurockéennes festival-goers since we 15 year. Being able to play on the big stage after seeing so many artists (…)it is symbolic for us”, says Jean-Noël Scherrer, singer of the group “Last Train”. Now is the time to celebrate in Belfort, far from the hassle of weather report. A new festival day is scheduled for Sunday July 3.
