A rich history
USAP has gone through all the eras of French rugby with seven titles of champions of France: 1914 (under the name of ASP), 1921 and 1925 (under the name of USAP) then in 1938, 1944, 1955 and 2009. To this list are added two titles of French PRO D2 champion in 2018 and 2021 The club have also lost nine league finals
“We are all aware of the history of the club.”
In 120 years, the passion that reigns around the USAP is intact and if this Saturday the party is planned, it will depend above all and above all on what will happen on the ground. In 2022, the problem of the moment is to leave this last place in the Top 14 and to clinch a first victory this season after three defeats.
An emblematic and historical Usapist, the current USAP coach, David Marty, knows it well: “I know it’s 120 years, I know we’re waiting around the corner, but I also know that beating Toulon will be a feat. the players, the staff, everyone is keen to show that we are in the continuity of all that. We are all aware of the history of this club and we want to take up this challenge.”
