For her part, Rima Abdul Malak, the Minister of Culture, also paid tribute to the memory of the artist. “Guy Marchand sketched life impatiently, desperately, passionately. Music, song, television, cinema: the ‘guignol of Buttes Chaumont’, who became the unforgettable Nestor Burma, accompanied so many chapters of our lives. His crooner’s voice and We will miss his panache.”
