A match with a European accent. The reigning French champions Paris will host Brest, a surprising third-placed team last season, on Saturday 14 September (9pm) on the fourth day of Ligue 1. The two clubs are preparing to play their first Champions League match next week (PSG against Girona on Wednesday 18 September and Brest against Sturm Graz the following day).
The Parisians are aiming for a fourth win in as many games. The in-form Bradley Barcola, second top scorer in the championship with four goals (his total from last season), will be the offensive asset, as will Ousmane Dembélé, recently a scorer with the French team against Belgium. The Bretons, after a poor start to the season (two defeats in the first two games against OM and Lens), reacted against Saint-Étienne (4-0). A boost in confidence sufficient to make the champion doubt?
