The Paris prosecutor’s office will analyze the program “Complément d’investigation”, to find out if acts of sexual harassment can be accused of Gérard Depardieu vis-à-vis his guide in North Korea, franceinfo learned Monday January 22, confirming information from BFMTV.

The prosecution explains to franceinfo that a lawyer wrote to him to “denounce the acts committed by Gérard Depardieu to the detriment of his guide in Korea in 2018, likely to be qualified as sexual harassment and brought to the attention of the public by ‘Additional investigation'”. The prosecution will therefore analyze “this denunciation” to see if the facts are actually characterized.

In the program “Complément d’investigation” broadcast on France 2 at the beginning of December, viewers were able to see images of Gérard Depardieu filmed in 2018 in North Korea. They showed the actor multiplying sexual, sexist and insulting remarks, not sparing a girl of around ten years old. The actor, accused of rape and sexual assault, refutes these allegations.
