The Palais des Festivals remained confined on Saturday May 18 for part of the afternoon after the discovery of a suspicious package, reports France Bleu Azur. The entrances and exits were blocked, in the middle of the Cannes fortnight.
Festival-goers and journalists remained crowded in front of the entrance to the Palace, which can accommodate up to 2,300 people. The queue stretched from the tourist office to the seaside resort’s ferry terminal. The life of the festival resumed before 6 p.m. The red carpet once again welcomes festival-goers for the screening of Emilia Pérez by Jacques Audiard.
