The Eiffel Tower and the Château de Versailles, among other tourist sites in Paris and its region, are again closed to the public on Thursday March 23, 2023 on the occasion of the ninth day of national action against pension reform.

“Due to a national social movement, the Estate and the Palace of Versailles are closed this Thursday, March 23, 2023”indicates the site of the castle.

“Due to the national strike movement, the Eiffel Tower is currently closed”, can we read on the website of the monument. “Access to the Parvis remains open and free. Visitors with e-tickets for this Thursday, March 23 are invited to consult their mailbox.” The Arc de Triomphe, at the top of the Champs-Elysées, is also closed.

Disruptions in some museums

With regard to the museums of the City of Paris, its Paris Museums site details the closed establishments. The Museum of Romantic Life is closed this Thursday, March 23 afternoon. The Petit Palais welcomes visitors only on the circuit of the ground floor collections. The Catacombs are completely closed.

Among the national museums, several of them, without being closed, have adapted the opening conditions, such as the Musée national Picasso Paris. The night at the Musée d’Orsay is also “cancelled”, with a scheduled closing “at 6 p.m.”. The Louvre Museum is open until 6 p.m.
