The day before, a rally had attracted barely more people in the Limoilou district in Quebec.

The Liberal leader has spent most of her time in the capital since the start of the campaign. The PLQ had no deputy in the greater Quebec City region when the National Assembly was dissolved. The soil is not very fertile for him; the party had important strongholds there before.

The chef’s schedule is light. Tuesday, an outdoor activity scheduled for the afternoon in Montmagny was canceled due to a watch of severe thunderstorms according to his explanations.

Asked about his campaign program, Dominique Anglade replied that his party “wanted to start very strongly in Quebec and be present in the Capitale-Nationale because it is a very important region. But yes, you will see that the pace will certainly increase in the coming days. »

According to the leader, the PLQ has 109 candidates. He therefore lacks 16 to form a complete team like the other four parties. She said in the morning that other candidates were going to be announced during the day. It was not the case.

In the greater Quebec City region, we are still waiting for the identity of the candidates in Portneuf and Bellechasse. The PLQ still does not have a color bearer in six ridings in eastern Quebec. It is also lacking in Montérégie, Lanaudière, Estrie and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean.

In the evening in Montmagny, in Côte-du-Sud, Dominique Anglade was able to assert his promise of allowance to seniors since the activists present were mostly retirees. It was not hidden that times are hard for the party. Former MPs Norbert Morin and Jean D’Amour participated in the event.
