Owners in Lac-Simon, in Outaouais, Patrice Bernard and Nathalie Brunet are selling their residence built in 2020-2021 in the heart of nature, on a five-acre lot. Contemporary in style, the single-storey house is a little gem in a huge green setting.

The residence is located about forty minutes west of the Mont-Tremblant ski resort and less than two hours from Montreal, in the heart of land purchased in 2019 and overlooking the lake.

From the house, you can’t see any neighbors. But lots of animals! Especially deer, which can be seen almost every day.

“We have access to a private beach,” he adds. And in winter, the landscape is magical. Cross-country ski trails leave from the village of Chénéville. »

Upscale and understated, the interior features contemporary lines that work well with the warm furnishings and oiled light oak floors that highlight the grain of the wood. The kitchen and bathroom floors are covered with Italian ceramics. The floors are all equipped with radiant glycol heating.

The first annual electricity bill rose to $4,000, but Patrice Bernard explains that this is due to the fact that the first year, a new house is very humid and that Hydro-Québec bills have already gone down. “We also have a Stûv wood-burning fireplace for ambiance and which can easily heat the entire open area of ​​the main room,” he says.

This property can be used as a second home, but the owners have made it their main place of life. “Summer is very busy,” says Patrice Bernard. And there are all the necessary services in Lac-Simon and Chénéville, the village next door. I raised my children here.
