The socialist candidate said she was “very shocked” by the methods of the popular Primary and said she “will take no account” of the results of the citizen ballot.

After the publication at the beginning of the week of a controversial video of one of the organizers of the popular Primary, the candidate of the PS Anne Hidalgo says to herself “very shocked” : “It’s totally disqualifying” she added. In a short sequence initially intended for Primary volunteers, one of its founders Samuel Grzybowski says the objective is to prevent Anne Hidalgo, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Yannick Jadot from having their 500 signatures.

Following the publication of this video, Jean-Luc Mélenchon (LFI) and Yannick Jadot (EELV) asked that their names be removed from the Popular Primary. This is also Anne Hidalgo’s position: “They can remove my name” launched the candidate, who is worried about this position. “For me, it’s the worst you can imagine in politics., she explains. Usually [la Primaire] it was supposed to be something fresh, something positive, it’s totally disqualifying.”

“I will disregard” the outcome of this Primary. “I have turned the page, I am moving forward”.
