Their throne is now known. The five Olympic rings will soon sit on the Eiffel Tower in preparation for the Olympic Games (July 26 to August 11), the sports management of Radio France and France Bleu Paris learned on Monday April 8 from the president of the Operating Company of the Eiffel Tower (Sete). Their installation should begin at the end of April, Jean-François Martins, president of Sete, told AFP.

These intertwined rings, which represent the five continents, symbols of the universality of sport, are exhibited at each edition of the Games on an emblematic monument of the host city. They will occupy a space 30 meters long by 13.50 meters high, between the first and second floors of the Eiffel Tower, on the side facing the Seine. Each ring will be 9 meters in diameter. They will all be lit up at night.
