The Olympic Games at Le Devoir | Le Devoir

The Paris Olympics officially begin on Friday, July 26, and the Paris Olympics team Duty is about to take you on a whole adventure. Sports highlights, atmospheric texts, meetings with athletes, Parisian life in turmoil: our three special correspondents will keep you informed of everything that is happening in Paris.

In writing, for the coverage of the events, Éric Desrosiers returns for his third consecutive Games (after Tokyo delayed by a year and Beijing in strict confinement).

In video (and sometimes in writing and in photos), Jasmine Legendre and Jean Balthazard will bring us the Games from the inside.

The three will also tell us anecdotes and give us a behind-the-scenes look at these Parisian Games in a short “postcard” type format that we will publish regularly.

An Olympic block will be added to our daily news newsletter, the Evening Mail, starting immediately and for the duration of the Games.

Live Blog

Our team will feed a live blog offering highlights of the day’s competitions, original texts and videos produced by our journalists on the ground or from Montreal and the latest news from the Parisian capital.

In addition to the athlete profiles we have already started to share, we will be bringing you a series of articles entitled “Higher, Further, Older,” which will explore recreational participation in various Olympic sports… after you are no longer old enough to compete in the Games.

Finally, our thematic page will be updated continuously and will also offer a medal table.

On that note: happy gaming!
