For a year, Rachel Orbach has lived in the occupied West Bank, with her six children. She built her home high in the hills on the Maoz Esther outpost, a settlement considered wild by the Israeli state. Israeli settlement leaders recently presented a new plan to the prime minister. They want to build a railway network, hospitals and an airport. The goal is to double the number of Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank by 2050. For the Palestinians, the expansion of settlement buries the two-state solution promised 30 years ago, during the Oslo Accords. “There is no solution, the colonies have taken the land and the roads“, says Mortazar, a Palestinian cross-border worker.
