The Michel Gallot futsal tournament has returned to Dijon! Launched this Saturday on the parquet floor of the Palais des sports, the 2022 edition ends this Sunday evening with the final phase of a competition dedicated to footballers under the age of 12.
A total of 2,500 players and 20 teams took part in the 38th edition of a tournament created by Michel Gallot, former president of ASPTT Dijon. A competition that gives pride of place to the clubs of the department: from a qualifying tournament, 9 teams from the Côte-d’Or took part in the group stage, including a women’s team from the DFCO.
A big cast
Opposite, youth teams with 8 Ligue 1 clubs, such as Marseille Olympics Where Olympique Lyonnais. To make matters worse, 3 foreign teams have been invited: FC Porto, Servette Geneva and Juventus Torino, for a first participation of young Italians in the Michel Gallot tournament.

ASPTT Dijon qualified for the quarter-finals!
The first matches were played this Saturday on the parquet floor of the Palais des sports in Dijon, facing the stands, with around a thousand spectators. Divided into 5 groups of 4, 20 teams took part in the group stage. In the end, 8 clubs are qualified for the quarter-finals: the Côte-d’Orienne performance is for ASPTT Dijon, which climbs to the quarter-finals, 2nd in pool D. The other teams from the departments are eliminated. But the essential is elsewhere, the young players especially retain the experience of such a tournament.
Among the qualifiers, FC Nantes, winner of the last 2020 edition. Will the Canaries do the double? Answer this Sunday with the quarter-finals and the outcome of the competition. The tournament final is scheduled for this Sunday at 4 p.m., admission is free to the Palais des sports!
