On images from Russian television, they invest the industrial complex of the city, where one of the last pockets of the Ukrainian resistance tries to defend its territory. On April 7, the site was pounded by Russian strikes. On social networks, the Ukrainian fighters say they have no more ammunition, and fear to fight their last battle.
Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, raised the possibility of a chemical attack on Mariupol. “We take this very seriously”, did he declare. On images broadcast on pro-Russian social networks, tanks flanked by the letter “Z” are deployed on the port. In the city destroyed at 90%, the inhabitants are terrified. “We thought the worst thing was an aerial bomb, but in fact the most terrifying thing is the tanks”says one of them, Yevheniya.
