Footballer Paul Pogba’s sanction for doping was reduced on appeal to 18 months. He will be able to return to the field in March 2025.

“The nightmare is finally over”reacts footballer Paul Pogba on Friday in a press release October 4, after the appeal decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to reduce the suspension of the French international for doping. It goes from four years to 18 months. Paul Pogba will therefore be able to return to the pitch in March 2025.
“I can’t wait to get back on the pitch”writes the one who has not played since September 2023. “Following the CAS decision, I can look forward to the day when I will be able to realize my dreams again.”confides the 31-year-old player.
In August 2023, he tested positive for testosterone after a Serie A match between his club, Juventus Turin, and Udinese. “I have always maintained that I have never knowingly broken the rules of the World Anti-Doping Agency”he declares. “I play with integrity”assures Paul Pogba who claims to have taken a “food supplement that [lui] was prescribed by a doctor”.
“This has been an extremely difficult time in my life as everything I have worked so hard for has been put on hold.”relates the player who thanks his supporters for “all the love and support” that they were able to bring to him.
