“the next one, I’ll take it out!”

This is a debate that has been going on for years. Should the sale of halal and kosher meat be banned in France? If some wonder why this question arouses the debate, it is simply because most blame the way in which the animal is killed for the ritual. The beast is put to death without being stunned beforehand, which makes its suffering stronger. Therefore, the defenders of the animal cause want the end of this process.

Jordan Bardella, who chairs the National Rally while Marine Le Pen takes care of her presidential campaign, proposed a ban on the sale of halal and kosher meat by highlighting “animal dignity” during his visit to the Grand Jury on LCI. A subject that did not fail to make people react on the set of TPMP. Cyril Hanouna launched the debate by asking the question to his columnists. “Should the ritual slaughter of animals without stunning be banned, which would therefore make kosher and halal food prohibited in France?”, he asked them before seeing only two “yes” signs rise around the table. That of Benjamin Castaldi and Danielle Moreau.

No constructive answers according to Baba

The first then launched into his explanation. “We can stun the animal a little before, respecting tradition”he started before being cut off by the host: “Stop beating around the bush! Do we ban halal and kosher meat in France, yes or no?”. What Benjamin Castaldi answered then: “Yes in relation to the animal’s suffering. There are ways to do it…”. Cyril Hanouna once again cutting off his columnist: “There are no solutions. It’s either you ban it or not”. “We can make a path of agreement between slaughter and ritual. I said ‘yes’ it must be banned. Because me in relation to animals it shocks me”finally resigned the son of Jean-Pierre Castaldi.

The host of TPMP then questioned Danielle Moreau to get her opinion. “In fact, it’s not a French problem, it’s a global problem. There are a lot of Muslim countries like Indonesia where there are the most Muslims who allow stunning…”, she began but, once again, her answer did not satisfy Cyril Hanouna. The troublemaker of the PAF, who was gradually beginning to lose his temper, then warned: “The question is clear. Stop making mythos. I can’t stand. Whoever calls me again to say that, I’m taking him out of the show, I’m telling you”. The debate finally resumed, while remaining a bit heated.
