The newcomers to the Paloise Section: Clément Laporte, back

It’s almost time for the return to school for the Paloise Section, on Saturday the Béarnais welcome Perpignan to the Hameau to start their season. With the number 15 on the back, fans will no doubt discover one of the new faces of the Green and White, Clément Laporte. The rear arrives from Lyon, where he lived a contrasting adventure. In three seasons, the Landais of origin (from Parentis-en-Born) seduced, after being revealed in Agen, but due to injuries and competition, he never imposed himself there as a holder in Powerful. In Béarn, he will compete with Mathias Colombet, Thomas Carol and Jack Maddocks.

Like a number of other Béarn recruits, Clément Laporte knew the France under-20 team and a certain Sébastien Piqueronies at its head. Obviously anything but a coincidence, recognizes the player: “All managers work like that, in Lyon Pierre Mignoni did like that, in Agen before Mauricio Reggiardo the same… It’s normal to go and get players you know, with whom you may have liked working with“. And this saves time in presentations, especially since Clément Laporte therefore finds former teammates – or opponents – who have crossed paths with younger people. And the same, therefore, with the Pau manager: “Séb’ is very focused on human management to get the best out of everyone in the field. We can discuss everything with him, and he is often the one who comes to you.“. Then “only have to focus on the rugby and the pitch“, which Clément Laporte expects to do, as soon as possible in the jersey of the Section.
