What do metal oxides look like? How were they chosen, taken from nature and then worked by prehistoric man? What are the technological differences in their work to obtain and use dyes and metals? Are there some common practices? The National Museum of Prehistory of Les Eyzies offers you some answers through its temporary exhibition “Oxides. Colors & metals »from this Saturday, October 8 to May 8, 2023.

On the occasion of the launch of this exhibition, come and spend, this October 9, a family sunday to discover the various natural forms of oxides, and experiment with their various transformations and uses by Man, from prehistory to the present day.
