The two billionaires, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, each plan to go to the Moon. An ambition shared by China, which has joined forces with Russia to build a lunar base.

On Saturday August 27, thousands of Americans traveled to Florida (United States) at Cape Canaveral to admire the Artemis 1 moon objective rocket. Between 200,000 and 500,000 people are expected to take off on Monday morning. Reaching for the moon, everyone dreams of it, from private companies to governments to billionaires. Elon Musk, with his company SpaceX, has already planned to send a Japanese billionaire around the moon by 2023. SpaceX has even been chosen by NASA to build the lunar lander which will transport astronauts to the surface of the star.

Elon Musk’s rival, Jeff Bezos, creator of Amazon, also dreams of conquering the Earth satellite and unveiled his Blue Moon project three years ago. A spacecraft that should be able to land on the Moon in 2024 to bring the equipment necessary for scientific experiments. The possibility of settling on the Moon is not reserved for Americans. For several years, the Chinese have been hounding NASA. They succeeded in landing a probe on the far side of the Moon and have just teamed up with the Russians for the construction of a lunar base. For everyone, the race for the moon has only just begun.
