Friday June 21, New Popular Front unveiled its measures to finance its program. The left intends, among other things, to establish a wealth tax (ISF) and leverage superprofits.

Nine days before the first round of the early legislative elections, the New Popular Front revealed the costing and financing of its program at a press conference organized on Friday June 21. This firstly provides for immediate measures: the revaluation of the minimum wage to 1,600 euros net, the 10% increase in APL, the repeal of the pension reform and unemployment insurance, or even free total of the school.

The cost of these projects is estimated at 25 billion euros in public spending by the end of 2024. Funds that the left hopes to amortize through several measures. “An ISF with a climate component” would make it possible to collect “15 billion euros”, as well as a “taxation of superprofits”, and which would bring in the same sum. By 2025, the left alliance is announcing more measures, such as hiring teachers to reduce the number of students per class, and intensifying thermal renovation.
