Less than a month before the legislative elections, it was a press conference that was eagerly awaited. The “i“submitted”ecologists, socialists and thes communists gathered within the New popular ecological and social union (Nupes) detailed, Thursday May 19 at the end of the morning, each of the 650 measures of their common base for the ballot of June 12 and 19 next.

Common proposals, the result of a “historic union”according to Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who can be found in eight major thematic chapters: from “social progress”, Passing by “ecology, sharing of wealth, public services, the Sixth Republic, security, the fight against discrimination” or “the European Union”.

Among the key measures detailed by the main Nupes officials: “the increase of the minimum wage to 1,500 euros”, “local policing with sufficient human resources covering the entire national territory” or “the extremely ambitious objective of reducing greenhouse gases by 65% ​​by 2030, beyond what the European Commission is proposing”

But “unity is not fusion”underlined the leader of France Insoumise during this same press conference, considering that this program describes a “central space” for the different political formations that make up the Nupes.

For Jean-Luc Mélenchon who spoke of a “controlled, reasoned but firm rupture” with the system currently in place, on the “650 measures” of the “shared program” of Nupes, “there are 33 that are in shades”. This represents “5% of total” measures, he even added to the leaders of the parties that make up the left alliance, such as the national secretary of Europe Ecology-The Greens, Julien Bayou, and the first secretary of the PS, Olivier Faure.
