Is the Made In France show a great showcase for the Compagnie Européenne des Parfums?

This is the second time that we have taken part in the Made in France show and indeed, it gives us the opportunity to present all of our collections to our consumers. It also allows us to approach new markets because there is a whole “be to be” meeting part that takes place before the show.

Your perfumes are sold in particular under the Christine Arbel – Paris brand, but there are also Barbie and PJ Masks perfumes. Is it important to follow all these fashions?

It allows us to fuel a certain dynamic and also to meet a need for “children’s perfumes” since it is part of our range. And our Christine Arbel brand is our flagship and historical brand for all adult references.

When we talk about perfume, we think more of Grasse, why this establishment in Dijon?

The company was created in Nancy then was taken over by other leaders who are from Dijon. In 2007, the activity was repatriated to Dijon and remains there today. This is our head office. The creation, the design, the development, everything is really thought out in Dijon and we obviously work closely with perfumers from Grasse for everything that will be olfactory, with samples, tests, a very precise brief in fact at the start which gives this is followed by very rich exchanges with the perfumers.

What types of perfumes do you offer and in what price range?

We are really aimed at everyone, both for adults, women and children, but also for children under three, so for babies from birth, at very reasonable prices since we are in a range between 10 and 15 € maximum.

Where do you find all these perfumes?

Essentially today in large and medium-sized surfaces. But we are also sold on digital platforms such as Peaulette
, which also belongs to us or other platforms such as Nocibé for example. We also have other premium brands like Siobhan, which we launched this year and which is aimed at an adult target that is also a mix of men and women. There, we are on slightly larger ranges, but at 89 € consumer price. It’s a brand that is really intended for large-scale export and accessible French luxury.

The Compagnie Européenne des Parfums is a small business but still has a substantial turnover?

We are eight people for two years now for a turnover of 1.2 million euros. Over this last period We have been in constant progression for two years now.

2023 is approaching. Are there any plans for this new year?

There are always a lot of projects and that’s what keeps the European Perfume Company alive, innovation, new projects, new collections. So we have lots of little hot things for the year 2023, including a fourth flagrance for Christine Arbel – Paris.

Highlights all year round

The end-of-year holidays are approaching and it is traditionally a good time for perfume purchases. The Compagnie Européenne des Parfums is also organizing a “private sale” day on December 1st in its premises at 10, rue Paul Verlaine to allow you to discover the range that will be offered for the occasion at low prices. But as Amélie Kada confides, sales ultimately follow all the highlights of the year.

“The little elves are in place. We are empacting because we also have a whole service for preparing orders at the European Perfume Company. So there, it is indeed a big period. Perfume is offered a lot at the end of the season. the year. The perfume actually follows the high points of the year and the usual major holidays, such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day. We realize that it can be offered at any time , for birthdays, for parties, to please, quite simply. In 2023, the collection will grow. Our flagship brand for women, for example Mademoiselle Arbel in Paris, will have a new fragrance next year. We already have three beautiful fragrances, so there will be a fourth next year.” rejoices Amélie Kada.
