There will be a 100% Milanese duel in the semi-finals of the Champions League. After the qualification of AC Milan on Tuesday, Inter Milan in turn validated their ticket for the last four of the competition, Wednesday April 19, by drawing a match against Benfica at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium (3-3). Winners in the first leg (2-0), the Nerazzurri led by two goals in this match thanks to goals from Nicolo Barella (14th), Lautaro Martinez (65th) and Joaquin Correa (78th). But the Portuguese managed to come back thanks to Fredrik Aursnes (37th), Antonio Silva (86th) and Petar Musa (90th +5) at the very end of the match.
Inter return to the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time since the 2009-2010 season, when the club won the competition. Simone Inzaghi’s players will find their rivals AC Milan in this last four. In the past, the two teams have faced each other twice in the Champions League, in the semi-finals in 2002-2003, and in the quarter-finals in 2004-2005. Each time, AC Milan qualified for the final.
