Bruno Garcia : And yes it is not because the summer is coming to an end that the canes remain in the closet. On the contrary, these refreshments for a few days are rather encouraging for the fisherman. We know that the months of September, October and November preceding the winter season are very favorable times. Surely the best of the year! So we’re going to offer you lots of entertainment, competitions, fishing trips and more with the possibility of paying for a fishing license at a reduced rate.

We have suffered a lot in recent months and I absolutely want to bring out all that is still positive. You know Jean-Luc, in many situations there is a side in the shade and a side in the sun. So let’s talk about the price of this discount card
Since September 01, you can pay for a card called the autumn card. It is a major card, that is to say for all adults over 18 at 39 euros instead of 78. This card allows you to practice 4 lines until December 31, 2022. By the way, I would like to remind you that 39 euros is the price of 3 day passes at 13 euros. Ideal for all those who have worked all summer and who would start their fishing season now. So I think it’s a proposal completely suited to these people – there for example.
Any other suggestions as fall approaches?
Nature week in Allas Bocage. The Federation owns a superb 14-hectare body of water in the south of the department near the town of Jonzac. It is a site which is located in the heart of nature, unspoilt nature and we offer schoolchildren and leisure centers the opportunity to come and discover, from September 19 to 23, the animal and plant populations of this site accompanied by a guide. Reservations are made on 05 46 98 98 79. At the end of this week, on September 24 and 25, access will be free from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the possibility of picnicking on site.

Yes, Sunday September 18 the Raid Carna Jonzacais; A team lure predator fishing competition over 10 km of the Seugne river and the 2 hectares of the Heurtebise lake. The course, rules and registration are available on the Gaule Jonzacaise website: www.la gaulejonzacaise.fr or from their partners, the Jonzacaise Armory and Natura Pêche Saintes. Attention registration is compulsory it will cost you 25 euros and includes breakfast, aperitif and lunch. Cheaper than at home.
A quick word on competitive fishing?
Yes, I got used to it every weekend because not only do we have to deal with very friendly people, most of whom are always ready to give you the little advice you need for success, but also because they are the first encouraging indicators that tell us that there are still plenty of fish in our waterways. Last Sunday was the last round of the departmental criterium. This internal competition in Charente-Maritime which extends over several months. I just wanted to mention the podium because I think they deserve it those top three for their attendance and performance. The 1st is Michel GARLOPEAU followed by the Poulidor of the season Jacques FOUCHIER and the 3rd Richard CHRETIEN. Congratulations to all 3 but also to all the others of course!!
