The national tribute to Michel Bouquet will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, the Élysée told franceinfo, Tuesday April 26. The French actor died on April 13 at the age of 96.
This tribute will take place in the main courtyard of the Hôtel national des Invalides. The President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron, accompanied by his wife Brigitte Macron, will preside over the ceremony open to the public and in the presence of the family and the actor as well as members of the Government.
The actors Muriel Robin, Fabrice Luchini and Pierre Arditi will speak to honor Michel Bouquet, specifies the press service of the Elysée. The ceremony will be concluded by the Choir of the French Army and the orchestra of the Republican Guard who will sing the Marseillaise. This tribute will be Emmanuel Macron’s first official release since his re-election on Sunday.
