It was a necessary step in view of the 100% renationalisation of EDF. The National Assembly voted Tuesday July 26 the financing by the State of this operation to 9,7 billion euros, intended to leave the group of production and supply of electricity of its financial and industrial rut.

MEPs voted these appropriations during the examination of the draft amending budget for 2022 by 209 votes against 156. Ecologists in particular denounced the “heading for all-nuclear”, while LR conversely deplored the closure of the Fessenheim nuclear power plant.
