The National Museum of Prehistory currently houses the largest collection of prehistoric artefacts in Europe: for more than 7 million preserved objects, the exhibition has around 12,500, allowing you to cover a vast time period.
Saturday October 15, from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., the National Museum of Prehistory in Les Eyzies is giving carte blanche to students from the National School of Architecture in Nantes.
But how can the visitor really become aware of the dimension carried by the object, the questions it asks and the story it carries? This is the challenge of four master student projects, studio ARCHIREP (Architecture in representation), at ENSA Nantes. Through a multidisciplinary reflection, museographic projects showcase the collections while breaking the limits of the museum. They are rethinking the current scenography in order to invent new ways of transmitting knowledge.
For the National Architecture Days, the museum is offering an afternoon in collaboration with the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Nantes to discover the times of prehistory through a sensitive, fascinating, intriguing and accessible approach to all.
Participants: Matthis Degrée, Marie-Pierre Duchesnay, Sophie Gogol, Aloïs Lamotte, Camille Lucas, Océane Mafogang and Maxime Poirier.
