The new Star Academy season kicked off on November 4 during a colorful bonus. Viewers were finally able to discover the faces of thirteen candidates in the running this year. So let’s go for twelve weeks of competition within the castle of Dammaries-les-Lys and on stage during the bonuses.
This Tuesday, November 7, the first evaluations already took place in front of all the teachers and the director, Michael Goldman. All students had to perform the song of their choice and dance to the title of their choice as well. This Wednesday, November 8, 2023, it was the director himself who announced the names of the nominated students and therefore in the hot seat. “Overall, it remains a good assessment.“, he began. “The three named are Louis, Djebril and Margot” he then declared before trying to reassure them “Don’t experience this as a punishment“.
We note that Djebril had chosen to interpret the title Body by the singer Yseult. “What bothered me is that he hid behind lots of vibes, he doesn’t need to do all that, his voice is enough. So I’m a little frustrated“, declared singing teacher Adeline Toniotti. For his part, Louis had chosen the song Hurt others by Ben Mazué, a performance which visibly lacked mastery. Finally, Margot sang the hit Never forget by Flo Delavega but his performance unfortunately did not convince.
