It was the Prime Minister who was at the podium on Monday October 7, during the tribute to the victims of October 7. An evening organized by the Jewish institutions of France. But it was the name of the head of state that was booed. Prime Minister Michel Barnier reaffirmed the State’s commitment to the security of French people of the Jewish faith.
Emmanuel Macron was booed because of his comments made last Saturday in favor of stopping arms deliveries to Israel. Comments approved by France Insoumise, but criticized by the far right. At issue: Emmanuel Macron’s policy. The president says he is committed to Israel’s security, and on the other hand calls for a two-state solution.
