The controversy continues in Poitiers. A month after the broadcast of a video on social networks showing a “blackface”, a person made up in black, on the terrace of a restaurant, the manager of the establishment affirms on France Bleu Poitou, Friday June 24, that this are young graduates of the municipal police who gathered that day. Mickael Taylor even assures that he was told not to say anything. “I was asked by text message not to say anything, and municipal police officers took me to task during the music festival”he explains. “They asked me to stop talking to the media because it was creating controversy and I shouldn’t talk about all this.”
“Yet I said it many times”explains the restaurateur. “But some people didn’t want to notice that they were indeed future municipal police officers. It shocked me because I would have liked the person concerned to come with me to explain what happened. I am the only person to be criticized, harassed and threatened.” Mickael Taylor claims he filed a complaint but that no follow-up was given.
