The Montreal Pride parade, scheduled for Sunday afternoon, is canceled “for security reasons,” the organization said.
“A lack of staff to ensure safety along the route is the source of this decision taken in agreement with the SPVM early this morning”, can we read on Facebook. “The other events taking place at the Esplanade of the Olympic Park from 2 p.m. will however take place as planned”.
Thousands of people, including political representatives, were expected in the streets of downtown Montreal.
