Kenyan Felex Cheruiyot Rop was the first runner to cross the finish line of the 31e edition of the Beneva Montreal Marathon, Sunday, with a time of 2 h 23 min 20 s. He is followed in second position by the Canadian Simon Leblanc.
The latter finished the event at the Esplanade of the Olympic Park in 2 h 23 min 52 s. In third place, we also find a Canadian, Ahmed Mainy, with a mark of 2:24:15.
Under bright sunshine, the event kicked off at 7:45 a.m. at Espace 67 located on Sainte-Hélène Island. In all, nearly 12,000 people started the marathon and half-marathon on Sunday morning.
