The Ministry of National Education announced to AFP its intention to file a complaint after the leak of test subjects for the college patent which will take place on Friday, Thursday, June 30.
The relief subjects will be used for the history-geography and general series science tests, due to a “proven leak”, said the ministry, which will file a complaint and simultaneously launch an internal administrative investigation. According to rue de Grenelle, the leak was identified via “photos of subjects circulating on WhatsApp”.
The college patent tests began on Thursday for nearly 850,000 candidates, with the French and mathematics tests. The exam is due to continue on Friday with those of history-geography and moral and civic education, and the sciences which include life and earth sciences (SVT) and technology.
A similar situation had occurred during the baccalaureate in 2019: the Paris prosecutor’s office had opened an investigation after leaks concerning the mathematics tests of the general series, relayed by private Whatsapp messaging or by SMS. In the process, a total of 21 people were taken into custody and four of them were indicted, including two candidates and a supervisor.
The Ministry of National Education has already had to use emergency subjects for the general French baccalaureate this year. The subjects initially planned were distributed by mistake in an examination center during the philosophy test.
