After the wave of threats of attacks in middle and high schools which has shaken France for several days, the Minister of National Education Nicole Belloubet has decided to suspend all ENT messaging.
ENT digital messaging (Digital Workspace) is the main communication tool between students, parents and teachers. Regularly hacked, they will all be closed to put an end to the threats to which educational establishments are victims. And for good reason, it is through this means that for several days, more than 150 middle and high schools have been the target of terrorist threats.
A teenager in police custody
According to the Minister of National Education Nicole Belloubet, this is a temporary suspension, until the end of the spring break, at least. “The content of the messages is more than stupid, it is extremely serious”, she confided on RTL Thursday March 28. The ministry promises to improve account security to avoid these repeated hacks. Since the day before, a 17-year-old teenager has been in police custody, suspected of being the author of around a hundred threatening messages, without “no terrorist motivation”, he would have declared, according to a source close to the investigation.
