The Minister of National Education, Anne Genetet, will visit the Sévigné high school in Tourcoing (North) on Thursday morning, at 9 a.m., in order to“provide support to the educational team of the establishment”after the slap given by a student to a teacher who asked her to remove the veil, those around her said on Wednesday. The minister will speak at the end of this trip at 10 a.m.

Anne Genetet also held a meeting on Wednesday afternoon with the rectors on the subject of securing educational establishments. “The minister asked for precise figures to be provided by November 4, namely a list of the 100 priority establishments that remain to be secured in the territory,” indicates those around him.

Last year, 96% of establishments, public and private, of all levels, had put in place an attack/intrusion security plan and 85% had carried out exercises. “The minister asked the rectors to generalize this system and that an exercise be carried out in all establishments by the end of the school year”finishes the minister’s entourage.

The student suspected of having slapped a teacher at her high school in Tourcoing on Monday, who asked her to remove the veil she had just put on when leaving the establishment, obtained an extension on Wednesday before being judged, and will appear on December 11.
