Health Minister Christian Dubé committed Wednesday to “finding solutions” to the financial precariousness of the SABSA clinic in Quebec, in a shorter time frame than expected.
“These people are doing an excellent job,” repeated the minister during an exchange with Québec solidaire in Parliament on Wednesday. “We will find solutions,” he also mentioned.
Opposition MPs wanted him to commit to quickly providing lasting funding to the organization.

Closer deadlines
The ministry has since publicly committed to producing a specific financial framework for out-of-network clinics like SABSA. However, the latter claims to have received indications from the ministry to the effect that this would be done within two years, a period considered too long.
On Wednesday, Minister Dubé maintained that the two-year deadline was “inexact” and that the ministry framework would be ready sooner.
