It was one of the measures envisaged by the government to deal with the resumption of the Covid-19 epidemic. “I ask the French to put the mask back on transport”announced the Minister of Health and Prevention Brigitte Bourguignon, Monday, June 27 on RTL.
It is not a “obligation”however, specifies the Minister, who adds that this recommendation also applies to “all closed places (implying a strong) promiscuity”. The wearing of mask had been lifted by the government in May, but the number of daily cases has since started to rise again, with 62,036 daily cases over the past seven days, according to Public Health France.
Brigitte Bourguignon was beaten in the second round of the legislative elections on June 19. In accordance with the doctrine established by the president, she should therefore leave the government of Elisabeth Borne during her upcoming reshuffle, in “the first days of July” according to Emmanuel Macron.
