New measures for the hospital. The Minister of Health, François Braun, made several announcements on Wednesday, November 2, which aim to stem the crisis in the sector. He promised an envelope “around 400 million euros” aid instead of the 150 million planned for the “hospital services under strain”notably pediatric emergencies.

In detail, the Minister announced the continuation of the increase in the remuneration of night hours until March 31, 2023 for medical and non-medical personnel, “to recognize this hard work”. This measure had been put in place at the beginning of the summer, and was part of the 41 recommendations of the “flash mission” of the Prime Minister, Elisabeth Borne, to unclog hospitals.

The critical care exercise bonus, initially intended for nurses and healthcare managers, will also be extended to all caregivers working in adult and child critical care services. This monthly aid of 118 euros gross had been requested for several months by caregivers and childcare auxiliaries in intensive care.

To understand the health needs this winter, the Minister of Health has finally promised the extension of the measures of the emergency plan for this summer and the mobilization by the regional health agencies (ARS) of the “regional intervention fund”. It is a financial tool that aims to give more flexibility to the ARS in the management of their credits, according to the needs of the health establishments of the territory.
